In The Sopranos, Tony, Paulie and Silvio are on the boat with big Puss trying to come to terms with the fact that they must whack their old friend as he is a rat. They have drinks before the deed is done, and interestingly the way each takes their shot symbolises the way they feel about the hit on Puss.

Paulie takes his drink quickly, and in a single hit. He’s straight forward about the situation, not sentimental and ready to get it done.

Tony is the last to finish, he takes a small sip before he looks at his glass almost hesitantly, not wanting to accept the inevitable.

Silvio is clearly the most agitated about the situation, shouting at Tony not to yell at him, going upstairs and possibly crying, and he’s the only not to even take a shot.
