Robert De Niro admits not understanding Killers Of The Flower Moon character

Martin Scorsese's Killers of the Flower Moon stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro, Lily Gladstone and Jesse Plemons and tells the tale of the 1920s reign of terror, when Osage native Americans began being killed off.

Robert De Niro plays cattleman William Hale, the mastermind responsible for the murders, and I came across an interesting interview from the Cannes film festival where De Niro pretty much said he didn't understand his character. Let's discuss.
