Disney Beauty and the Beast - Prince Adam Cosplay Wig Tutorial - Acrylic Paint Wig Dye

Turning a $7 pink Halloween wig into the hair for Belle's Prince.

It's difficult to list the materials in this project as there was something of a slapdash "whatever works" about it. Not to mention numerous trips to the store as I kept running out of stuff, and didn't always buy identical items.

Major products used are a Hyde and Eek Boutique wig, acrylic paints in burnt sienna, burnt umber, white, yellow ochre, light brown (mixed variously), Got 2b Glued styling glue, Pearlex powder in bronze, Lumiere paint in bronze, thread, hot glue, and the finished wig was hit with setting spray to keep it in place.

If you're a stickler about matching an exact color, this is the way to go despite the styling difficulties. The shimmer powder was added with the intention of making the prince look more "magical" but it actually enhanced the realism of the painted hair dramatically, by making it shine like natural human hair.
