Why I Sold My Tesla Model Y...
In this video, I go over why I sold my Tesla Model Y.

The main reasons that I sold my Tesla are below.
Teslas build quality
Teslas are notorious for their poor build quality, in 2020, the J.D. Power Initial Quality Survey ranked Tesla the lowest out of 32 car manufacturers when it came to build quality. People love Teslas for their infotainment system and the amazing drive on electric motors but people have been complaining about the exterior of Teslas around doors, paint, and panels. Old players in the industry have completely reduced such problems due to their vast experience and this is where Tesla is lacking, even though a leader technologically, build quality wise Tesla is still playing catch up.
If Tesla does not catch up soon and improve their exterior build quality, it will just require one EV with a better range and infotainment system than Tesla from an experienced car manufacturer to outclass Tesla on all fronts, even mass production. Adding the tax benefits rest of the manufacturers have yet to avail, Tesla could be in deep trouble and Chinese car manufacturers are catching up to Tesla considering Elon made all Tesla patents public to push the EV market.
Depreciation of tesla's overtime
Most people while purchasing a vehicle keep in mind its resale value since buying a car is usually a major investment for a middle-class household and the better resale value helps the owner shift to a newer version without having to blow all the savings away.
While the average ICE car depreciates at around 34% every year, EVs have seen a drop of an astonishing 52% for the same period and there are many reasons for that, EVs are a new and developing market, and a Tesla is not just a hardware car, it is almost like a smartphone when it comes to its software and the Auto Pilot mode is essential to a Tesla. The problem with this model is that there is always better software but a certain phone/car model can only get updates till a certain point after which you have to buy the new car to avail new features. In the case of Tesla, it’s not just the software, but also the advances in battery technology that render the previous version less attractive than it would be without a technological leap.
Since Tesla has already sold 200,000 units and is no longer eligible for tax benefits like the rest of the companies are, people would prefer an EV coming from the more experienced carmakers since it would be more sturdy and luxurious along with a price benefit.
