Buffalo VS Leopard

A Leopard subadult male is relaxing near a lake. He decides to roam around after some time to find something intriguing to eat. He finds the right occasion to eat the perfect lunch a few moments later. A mother buffalo and her newborn calf take a direct path to the lake's edge. From afar, the leopard notices the chance and begins targeting his prey. He goes all out to bring down the calf when he gets close enough with a surprise ambush. The novice leopard seizes the calf from the forehead rather than the throat. As a result, the large mama buffalo has a chance to save her young and she does exactly that as she rams into the small leopard to drive him away. Leopards are probably my favorite cats. I like them because they are stealthy and sneaky, but mostly because of their immense climbing skills and quickness. However, in this video, this leopard took things too far, when he tried snatching a buffalo calf in front of cousins and relatives. All the buffaloes went nuts and chased the leopard up a tree.

You must remember that leopards hunt alone, so it’s not like a lion pride, where there are multiple animals for the buffaloes to worry about. The leopard is also much smaller than a lion, so one solid strike to the chest with the horns of a buffalo can do a lot of damage. The leopard does have the ability to climb trees, and that’s what saves the big cat during this scuffle. In a wild corner of Zambia’s Luangwa National Park, there is a magical place known as The Acacia Loop. It is a square mile of pristine wilderness where Africa’s most iconic species meet and socialize. Every year, it draws in thousands of animals to take advantage of this refuge from the dry season, creating a profusion of life. For some, it will be salvation, and for others, their unavoidable demise, but whatever their futures, the richness of the Acacia Loop will give them the best possible chance to survive through tough times ahead. It is the dry season in eastern Zambia, and thousands of animals are on the move. Buffaloes are searching for scarce water and the last of the greenery.

Their quest has brought them to the Acacia Loop, a patch of land encircled by a large river curve. Concentrated within a small area, is a diverse mixture of habitats. Groves of Acacia trees from which the loop gets its name to provide nutritious green leaves and energy-rich seeds, and among them, are tall stands of ebony trees, offering shade from the intense sun and homes in the canopy. A herd of 400 buffaloes has made it to the heart of the loop. A big bull can tip the scales at over 1700 pounds. Their sheer size combined with the power of a tight and vigilant herd, allows them to intimidate just about any predator that might cross their path. A leopard is out on his morning patrol, and more prey entering his territory is normally a bonus, but buffalo is too big to tackle. His relaxed attitude shows he’s in no mood to hunt, but buffalo are easily spooked. When the wall of angry buffalo moves forward as one, they force the leopard to walk away.

Dog VS Jackal

Mudhol Hounds are indigenous to India, having originated in the western region. For ages, both nobility and peasants have relied on this breed as a companion, hunter, and guard dog. They are bred to survive harsh weather, navigate rough terrain, and do difficult tasks. They have been bred for speed, strength, and endurance to pursue and kill hares, jackals, blackbucks, and chinkaras while traversing deep sand or rugged mountain terrain. They have been and continue to be dependable and effective guards of their owners' cattle and property.

In this video, you can witness one of these canines viciously mauling a jackal, and if the scavenger doesn’t escape soon, he will be dead. Jackals aren’t very big, but they’re still wild animals, only, this jackal must deal with two experienced dogs that are not afraid to get their paws dirty. When they catch the intruder, they teach him a lesson, and he will be lucky if he manages to get out of there alive. It’s obvious that this jackal visited the wrong kennel, as the dogs all want a piece of the animal, pulling on every inch of his body until he dies. The poor animal must be in excruciating pain and can’t do a thing about it.
