A moving insight into the trials faced by polar explorer Ben Saunders on his solo, unsupported expedition to the geographic North Pole and the hardships and humour required in pursuit of his dream.

In March 2011, british polar explorer Ben Saunders set out on a solo and unsupported attempt to reach the geographical north pole in a record breaking time.

This is the eighth instalment in a series of films documenting the expedition.

Ben is currently planning his next expedition - The Scott Expedition. An 1800 mile, unsupported return journey from the coast of Antarctica to the South Pole on foot retracing Captain Scott's footsteps.
