Turkey Resort Deadly Fire In Turkish Ski Resort

On January 19, Turkey declared a day of mourning after a devastating fire occurred in the Kartalkaya resort hotel in Bolu, leaving 76 dead. Erdogan ordered the national flags to be flown at half-mast. The fire reportedly broke out at the fourth floor of the hotel, leaving 41 injured. Immediately, rescue operations were conducted and the owner of the hotel and several others were taken under arrest. President Erdogan vowed that an in-depth investigation would be held to ensure justice was brought before those responsible for this tragedy.
