INASAL YAKITORI RECIPE 🔥 (MUST TRY)
Bring out the grill, we’re making yakitori inasal! 🔥 Who knew that adding a Negrense twist to a Japanese classic could taste so good? 🤤 Whether you eat this on its own (pulutan vibes!) or serve it with rice, this is a sure hit for those who are craving that charred goodness in every bite. 🍗 Try this at home now!
INASAL-STYLE YAKITORI
Ingredients:
½ kg chicken thigh fillet, cut into 1-inch chunks
2 stalks lemongrass, white part only chopped
1 head garlic, minced
¼ cup calamansi juice
1 1-inch thumb ginger, grated
4 pcs bay leaves
1 tbsp sugar
⅓ cup soy sauce
¼ cup rice wine vinegar
2 tbsp mirin
2 tbsp sake
¼ tsp pepper
Basting oil:
½ cup atsuete oil
8-10 cloves peeled garlic
1 tbsp whole peppercorn
4 pcs bay leaves
¼ cup butter
½ tsp salt
barbecue sticks, soaked in water overnight
2-3 stalks leeks, cut into 1 inch length white part only greens cut into garnish
atchara/pickled papaya
Procedure:
1. Combine the chicken with all the ingredients and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
2. Skewer each piece of chicken alternating with leeks.
3. Make the basting oil by bringing all the ingredients together in a saucepan to a simmer. Set aside to cool.
4. In an oiled and hot grill, cook each skewer for 20-25 minutes turning and brushing with basting oil every 5 minutes. Serve with atchara and chili paste/oil. Makes 6 servings.
