PM’s response to price of living question a ‘real misstep’
Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says he is concerned Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg are “a bit out of touch,” after the PM gave a “shocker” response to a question about the price of everyday items.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison gave an address to the National Press Club on Tuesday, where Mr Clennell asked him the price of petrol, bread, milk and a rapid antigen test.
Mr Morrison was unable to give an answer, although he appeared to be “shuffling around the desk” to look for a list of responses.
“You should know petrol and the price of rapid antigens off by heart … because they’re big issues at the moment,” Mr Clennell said.
“It was a real misstep in my book.”
