‘Incredibly moving’ condolence motion for Joel Fitzgibbon’s late son
Sky News host Peta Credlin says there was an “incredibly moving” condolence motion for former Labor minister Joel Fitzgibbon’s son in the House of Representatives on Thursday.
Lance Corporal Jack Fitzgibbon was a special forces soldier recently killed in a training accident.
“In the chamber listening to the fine words of both the government and opposition was Joel and his family,” Ms Credlin said.
“Not everyone watching tonight will have heard those speeches.
“But these are the moments in public life you shouldn't miss because they in part help restore our faith in the system.
