Around 60,000 failed asylum seekers maintain work and study rights in Australia
Shadow Immigration and Citizenship Minister Dan Tehan says 60,000 out of 80,000 failed asylum seekers maintain work and study rights in Australia.
“Of those 80,000, 60,000 have work rights and study rights,” Mr Tehan told Sky News host Peta Credlin.
“The question the prime minister needs to answer … is what is he doing to remove these people from the country during a housing crisis, during a rental crisis.”
