FCC Requirements for Bulk Challenges to the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric

The FCC has published the requirements for entities that want to challenge information in the Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric. The Fabric is the underlying dataset that contains what is believed to be all of the broadband serviceable locations (BSLs) in the U.S. (and U.S. territories). Service providers will add to the Fabric data all of the serviceable locations that they cover with broadband, including the type of service and maximum speeds available. This will be the data that is used to create the new FCC broadband coverage maps. The information in the base Fabric can be challenged by service providers, state and local governments, tribal organizations and other community stakeholders. The FCC made the production version of Broadband Serviceable Location Fabric on June 30th. All facilities-based broadband providers are required to upload their serviceable locations by September 1st.
