Beekeeping- Adding Fondant into the hives- Emergency Feed

Do you live in an area where there is a few day stretch of warm weather which makes your colonies a little more active than normal. An active hive in winter may go through their honey stores too early leaving them with no food and they starve out. Now if you have fondant available, you can supplemental feed in the winter and hopefully your bees will pull through til spring. In this video, I explain my brick marking method to assist you in your bee yard and also what to look for in a hive that is active in winter and eating their food stores. Add slabs of fondant. It may cost a few dollars but is losing your whole colony worth that savings of not doing so. Also, If you know of sources to buy bulk fondant, leave them in the comments section below. Add where you buy it, how much you paid, and if you have any other tips for overwintering. I appreciate you watching my videos. I am no expert but I have utilized my methods for a few years now and have good really good results in overwintering my colonies.
