Simple Cacao Spread | Deliciously Ella | Vegan

This Cacao Spread is the dream - four ingredients, one pan, so easy, so quick, so delicious. It's vegan, tastes great with breakfast, snacks and sweets and we're just really excited for you to try it.

Makes 1 jar:

Recipes
200g pitted medjool dates
400ml almond or coconut milk (from a carton not a tin)
4 tablespoons cacao powder
1 tablespoon coconut oil

Place the dates in a pan over a medium heat, and cover with 400ml of the almond milk.

Cook for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until a paste has formed.

Add in the cacao powder, coconut oil and final 100ml of almond milk - stir until combined.

Once a thick paste has formed, remove from the heat and leave to cool.

Once cool, transfer to a food processor or blender and blend until smooth. Adding in a little extra milk if needed, until you reach the consistency you like best.

Store in the fridge for about five days.
