EV drivers at risk of being fined for having charging cords over footpaths
The Daily Telegraph’s Tim Blair says someone will get hit with a “mega lawsuit” if someone trips EV charger wires going over footpaths.
EV drivers have been spotted running extension cable chargers to reach their cars on the road and can now risk being fined.
Mr Blair told Sky News host Chris Kenny that a partially sighted or blind person who doesn’t see the wires on the ground could be at risk of injury.
“Trips over an electrical cord and faceplants," he said.
“You might be up for a few Gs.”
