Only one 'true' account of Gaza hospital strike despite 'competing versions'
Former ambassador to Israel Dave Sharma says as is often the way during wartime, it could take some time for the truth to come out following the Gaza hospital strike.
Mr Sharma said there have been competing versions but there’s “only one true version”.
“We saw after there was an explosion at that hospital that immediately Hamas claimed it was an Israeli airstrike,” he told Sky News host Erin Molan.
“As the facts have emerged it’s quite clear that what happened was it was a misfired rocket from a Hamas-aligned terrorist group in Gaza which fell short, crashed into the carpark outside the hospital."
“Still a terrible loss of life .. but Israel was not responsible for that.”
