Are you having trouble getting clients? Chances are, you’re not doing these five essential things. Use this checklist to hold yourself accountable.
The first step is to make sure you’re speaking to the right audience. Offer your services to people with both the willingness and ability to pay. As a career coach, for example, it’s just as easy for you to help people who have a job (and thus the ability to pay you), as it is to help people without a job. But which one will be better for you?
The second step is to get in front of the right audience. Make sure you’re getting in front of people rather than expecting them to come to you. Also, make sure that you’re in the right places.
The third step to getting clients is to make sure you’re sharing the right content. Let’s say you’re going into Facebook groups and sharing content there. You’ve got to make sure it’s content that shows your expertise and lets people know you can help them.
The fourth step is to make sure you’re really making an offer. Are you letting people know that there’s an option to buy from you? Too many entrepreneurs share lots of valuable content without actually promoting themselves at all.
And fifth is to make sure you’re putting in enough time and showing up consistently. This means that after you post a piece of content, let your potential clients have plenty of time to read it. You also want to make sure you’re putting in enough of your time on a consistent basis.
If you want to start getting clients regularly, then these five steps are going to be crucial. Ask yourself which of these you’re not doing, and then start making changes.
