In this video, I share what I’ve learned about setting business goals so that you can learn the very same process that I used to break six figures in four months in my first online business. It comes down to five steps that when put into practice, will allow you to be successful.

The first thing you need to do is set ladder goals. Many people set lofty goals that they can’t achieve. One way to ensure that you’re actually meeting your goals is to plan out a series of smaller achievements.

The next step is to set a believable stretch goal. This is a goal that is exciting enough to stretch you, but that’s still doable in some way. One way to make your stretch goals more believable is to think about them in a way that connects them to past achievements.

The third step is to set a believable time frame. Just as you would set business goals in a stepwise fashion, by setting time frames in the same way, you can make sure to allow yourself the right amount of time to do what you need to do.

The fourth step is to map out a plan for how you’ll achieve your stretch goal. Even if you end up straying from the plan, having something to believe in will provide you with clarity and momentum.

The last step is to be ruthless with taking action. Ruthless action is necessary because if you don’t hit your monthly goal, you need to figure out what went wrong and fix it for the next month.

Too many entrepreneurs give up on their business goals because they don’t know how to properly set them. Use these tips to make sure you’re successful each and every month.
