💥 Pain in the neck is extremely prevalent. Many immediately attempt to stretch their pain away. Stretching may help some, however evidence very strongly supports for activating, improving control, and strengthening of the neck when dealing with pain in this region. #NeckStrength
.
🙇‍♂️ Neck pain is complex and there are many outside factors such as sleep and stress which can be contributing to this discomfort. For this reason I love focusing on breath work while performing these exercises to calm down the sympathetic nervous system. Isometric exercises are a GREAT entry point for those in pain. Some of these isometric exercises may seem a bit ridiculous, however give them a shot! The banded exercises are as difficult as you make them, start light #undercook.
