Does Mike Hammer read poetry? (Kiss me deadly)

In this classic film noir, director Robert Aldrich includes a poem as a part of the plot of the film (only to discover later that it is really a MacGuffin).
Detective Mike Hammer (Ralph Meeker) gives a ride to a mysterious woman (Cloris Leachman), who seems to be escaping from something terrifying. She tells him to be named after poet Christina Rossetti, and gives him the title of a poem by Rosetti as a clue in case something should happen to her...
