. Take a deep dive into the 2016 They Might Be Giants album PHONE POWER. In this video we talk about the history of Phone Power as the third album from Dial A Song 2015 (after Glean and Why?), its musical styles and textures, lyrical themes, and the design of the (180 gram white!) vinyl LP packaging.

Despite there being no overall thematic unity to Phone Power, it still stands a a well-chosen and solid album in its own right. Both Flansburgh and Linnell are especially on-point. I think it's great -- for the reasons I mention in the video.
