CORDON BLEU LASAGNA - Chicken Cordon Bleu Lasagna

Cordon bleu lasagna - if you like cordon bleu and chicken, this dish is made for you :) Cordon bleu in a slightly different form, lasagna with bechamel enriched with cream cheese and spices. This is a very rich and delicious dish with a fantastic combination of many irresistible tastes, perfect for all holidays and celebrations.

Ingredients:

Bechamel sauce:
120 g (4 oz) unsalted butter
60 g (1/2 cup) all-purpose flour
900 ml (3 3/4 cup) milk
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 nutmeg powder (optional)
400 g (14 oz)cream cheese

12 no-boil lasagna noodles (or 16 if you prefer to taste noodles more)
700 g (24.5 oz) cooked chicken breast, chopped
260 g (9 oz) sliced ham, chopped
440 g (15.5 oz) grated cheese (190 g (7 oz) emmental + 250 g (9 oz) gouda)
220 g (8 oz) bacon, chopped
Melt the butter in a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Stir in the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for about 4 minutes, then gradually add half the milk while stirring and pour the rest. Stir often. When it boils, stir in the spices and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the heat and stir in the cream cheese.
Roughly divide the chicken into 3 parts.
Roughly divide the ham into 3 parts.
Roughly divide the béchamel into 4 parts.
Roughly divide the cheese into 4 parts.
Roughly divide the bacon into 3 parts.
First put a little bechamel on the bottom of the pan. Arrange in this order:
3 (or 4) lasagna noodles, as in the video
one third of the chicken
one third of the ham
one quarter of bechamel
one quarter of cheese
one third of bacon

Repeat in this order two more times, and on top, over the bacon, arrange 3 lasagna noodles, the rest of the bechamel (that's the last quarter) and the rest of the cheese (that's the last quarter).

Preheat the oven (with fan) to 180 C (350 F).
Bake in a preheated oven for about 45-60 minutes.
If the cheese starts to darken a lot, cover the tray with foil and bake it like that, but 15 minutes before the end of baking, remove the foil so that it browns nicely.
Let it rest for a while before cutting.
