Nothing Special Set Up Yet at ICN Gate 111 for United’s Final International Boeing 747 Flight

I’m through the international transit security checkpoint at Seoul Incheon International Airport (ICN) and coming up the escalator into the remote concourse with Gates 101-132. On Departures Level 3, I see Transfer Desk E, which is for several airlines but not United. I don’t see signs pointing the way to any other transfer desks.

I walk to Gate 111, where United’s final international Boeing 747 flight will be departing in 3 hours 40 minutes. It is ghostly. Nothing is set up for a celebration of the final United international 747 flight.

Now I need to find the Asiana lounge to get some lunch and do some work online before the United 747 arrives from San Francisco (SF0) in 1 hour 40 minutes. I walk toward the center of the concourse searching for the lounge. I use an information kiosk to locate the lounge’s location, which is near Gate 119. I use an escalator to go up to Level 4 and into the Asiana Business Class Lounge.
