093023TWO CRITICAL AFTER MOTORCYCLE CRASH ON FM 1314

At 8 p.m. Saturday night, Caney Creek Fire was dispatched to a motorcycle crash on FM 1314 just south of SH 242. Units arrived on the scene to find a female with severe leg trauma and a male with severe head trauma. FM 1314 was closed southbound. The female was transported to HCA Conroe in critical condition. The male driver was transported to Memorial Hermann in The Woodlands in critical condition. Multiple witnesses said the southbound traffic light had just changed at the intersection. The motorcycle was traveling at an extremely high rate of speed. The bike attempted to pass a vehicle on the right side and hit the curb on the south side of the intersection. The bike went down ejecting both rider and passenger. The 2020 Harley Davidson motorcycle continued sliding for close to 100 yards before coming to rest. Southbound FM 1314 was closed for almost 2-hours as DPS investigated the crash. MCSO assisted with traffic control. Neither the driver nor the passenger had helmets. Saddle Creek Towing removed the motorcycle from the scene.
