The birth of Greek culture and art were born between the IX and VIII centuries BCE on the peninsula of Attica, the Peloponnese peninsula, the peninsula on the west coast of Asia Minor and the Aegean islands. The importance of their art and culture is enormous.

Dark Age refers to a period of Greek history that we don't know exactly lot of it. So it is like a period of unknowledge. Here is the Geometric Period.

In Greece are migrations of various groups to diverses places.

Heroon of Lefkandi: the first temples had apse.
Construction of the temple: you can see here the steps of the construction of the temple. The columns were made of drums, and they didn't use mortar, they used laces and staples.
Amphora: used to store vine or oil.
Krater: used to mix water and vine.
Oenochoe: used to serve the vine.
Alabastron: used to store perfumes.
Dipylon Shield: the Dipylon painter is a name given to the painter of lots of vessels. Soldiers are represented like shields.
Próthesis: exposure of the dead and mourning.
Ekphorá: transport the coffin to the cemetery.
Protocorinthian olpe: corinthian vessels that came to Greece. Paintings with geometric style.
Odysseus and Polyphemus: here is represented Odysseus attacking the cyclop Polyphemus.
