How to use BadShoe's AOD/4R70W piston sizer tools

One of the latest “Easy Tooling” product from BadShoe is this six-piece seal sizer set which is designed to make installing the Ford AOD/4R70W clutch pistons with lip seals, very easy. Normally, hard to find seal protectors are used to guide the seal lips passed the sharp step in the drums. With this kit, the sizer tools are installed on the outside and on some, inside of the piston, compressing the seals lip. The piston with tools attached, are placed in a freezer and when removed, the seal lips remain compressed long enough, allowing the piston to simply and effortlessly drop in the drum. Once in, the seals thaw and the clutch can be assembled. Wipe the tools off and use again and again. The kit includes an outer sizer for the direct, an inner and outer for the forward, and inner and outer for the intermediate. There’re also three freezer bags, a wire lip seal guiding tool and an outer seal protector for the square cut seal on the reverse piston which is installed at room temperature. Not having access to the AOD/4R70W seal tools is the number one reason customers tell me they are reluctant to take on the AOD. This kit remedies that.
