While many businesses are pushing through the PPP Forgiveness the PPP Loan Forgiveness process. More money is going out.
The programs are called the Minority and Small Business Relief Grant Program and the Nonprofit Relief Grant Program.
Both programs will award grant funds to small and minority businesses and nonprofit organizations as reimbursements for expenses due to the pandemic. States copy popular EIDL Grants. PPP Loans cause concern over fraud.
The awards will be ranged from $2,500 to $25,000.
To qualify businesses must employ 25 or fewer employees, be located in South Carolina, been in operation since October 13, 2019, and have experienced an impact due to that thing out there.
New Ohio laws are expected to help small businesses after passing four bills into law.
To-go cocktails are permanently legal in Ohio and local governments cannot tax plastic bags for at least a year.
Governor Mike DeWine signed four bills into law to help small businesses save on unnecessary expenses.
Bars and Restaurants can also use more outside space on public and private property.
The Bill received strong support from the Ohio Restaurant Association, Ohio Licensed Beverage Association, and the Greater Ohio Policy Center, and the Buckeye Institute.
Arizona Republican Rep. Andy Biggs is calling on the federal government to investigate whether a nonprofit used money from Paycheck Protection loans.
An Oregan-based non-profit, Stand for Children, was a major recipient of between $1-2 million in Paycheck Protection Program funding from the CARES Act.
However, the organization contributed $3 million in the second quarter of 2020 to advocate for an Arizona ballot initiative that would raise income taxes to fund public education.
Biggs wrote, “I am disturbed that a nonprofit seemingly took advantage of a program designed to help employers meet basic payroll needs in order to extravagantly fund a highly charged advocacy effort.”
Stand for Children has denied that any money from PPP was used to support the ballot initiative.
Stand for Children Executive Director Rebecca Gau told Fox News, “This is their tactic right now. Instead of discussing the actual issues honestly, they’re making these ridiculous absolutely false claims.”
The ballot initiative was to increase taxes for the 1% to be spent on Arizona’s board of education.
