Stimulus Check Update 10-14-20: Stimulus Package Talks Back On! Over 3/4 America Wants More Stimulus

Here’s your daily stimulus check, your second stimulus check, your executive action, order, memorandums, moratoriums and stimulus package update for Wednesday, October 14th, 2020.

A recent poll from Yahoo News/YouGov shows just how many people across America are in need of another stimulus package.

Conducted from October 9-11, more than 3/4ths of the registered voters that were polled (77%) were in favor of another stimulus bill to be approved by Congress.

The poll also showed that most Americans believe that Congress has their priorities backwards, and should approve a Phase 4 disaster relief bill before handling the Supreme Court decision.

66% of people polled think that the Senate should prioritize a stimulus package, with even 33% of Republicans agreeing to pass more stimulus relief before deciding on a new Supreme Court decision.

These statistics show once again that Congress is out of touch with your average American, and should definitely take these numbers into account and pass another stimulus bill soon.

Meanwhile, an interview by Wolf Blitzer with Nancy Pelosi got heated yesterday, and it happened on CNN of all places!

Blitzer pressed Pelosi on not accepting the GOP $1.8 trillion stimulus proposal, to which she responded: “I will not let the wrong be the enemy of the right.”

She continued: “Do you have any idea what the difference is between the spending that they have in their bill and that we have in our bill?”

Blitzer also brought up our guy from yesterday’s video, Ro Khanna, and his thoughts on taking the $1.8 trillion offer proposed by the White House.

Pelosi explained: “[Rep.] Ro Khanna – that’s nice, that isn’t what we’re going to do. Just because the president wants to put a check with his name on it in the mail that we should not be doing all we can to help people pay the rent, put food on the table, to enhance benefits.”

She also stated that Khanna did not know the details of the bill since he is not an active participant in negotiations.

I just hope that all sides can get on the same page, as time is running out for Congress to approve another stimulus package before the election.

Finally, it seems like talks are back on between Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

The pair had a “productive” meeting earlier this morning, according to Pelosi’s spokesman Drew Hammill.

He also added: “one major area of disagreement continues to be that the White House lacks an understanding of the need for a national strategic testing plan.”

Mnuchin also commented on the negotiations, stating that he and Pelosi: “had a comprehensive discussion on a lot of issues.”

He also explained: “We continue to make progress on certain issues, but on certain issues we continue to be far apart.”

With the 2 sides still roughly $400 billion apart, talks are set to continue tomorrow between Mnuchin and Pelosi.

Come on y’all, it isn’t that difficult! Just split it down the middle, $2 trillion, call it a day and get us our much needed stimulus funds.
