Kristalina Georgieva, the managing director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), made some interesting comments yesterday regarding America approving another stimulus package.

Speaking with CNBC, Georgieva stated that there is “no doubt” that the US will pass another disaster relief bill and: “We have to recognize that in the first round of action that was done very effectively and of course, it would be highly desirable that the fiscal lever is also put in place.”

She also explained that more stimulus would: “provide a boost to certainty and certainty is something we do need in this crisis.”

Georgieva added that America still has: “a way to go with this crisis,” which I completely agree with.

We need more stimulus funds soon, so that we can continue stimulating the economy and providing the millions of Americans in need with a little certainty heading into 2021.

Meanwhile, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin continue to discuss terms on the highly anticipated Phase 4 disaster relief bill.

We talked about yesterday how Mnucin was prepared to enter negotiations and concede the issue of funds for testing to the Democrats, and it looks like he stuck to his words.

Following their nearly 90 minute meeting yesterday, Pelosi and Mnuchin both admitted to making “progress” on the stimulus package, stating that they agreed to terms on funding for testing and will announce their plan later today.

Pelosi’s spokesman explained that she: "looks forward to reviewing" the new language and is anxious to put this important issue in the “agreed upon” stimulus items category.

I hope that these positive discussions can result in the approval of the stimulus bill that y’all have been promising us for months now.

Finally, President Trump made some encouraging comments about another stimulus package during his town hall meeting last night.

Trump stated that if he and Pelosi can get on the same page, the Senate Republicans would also be on board.

He said: “If Nancy Pelosi and I—if we agree with something—the Republicans will agree to it.”

Stating that his administration “are ready to sign” a new stimulus package, Trump explained: “You know who I am negotiating against? Nancy Pelosi. She doesn’t want to give the money. This is not our people’s fault.”

The President also stated that he is: “ready to sign a big beautiful stimulus” and “I want it to be big, I want it to be bold.”

I just hope that he is being truthful in these comments, as we’ve heard him talk about huuuuge stimulus bills in the past and nothing came of them.
