Donald Trump is once again on track to ‘confound his critics’

Sky News host Chris Kenny says it is a wonder how Democratic nominee Joe Biden will go in debates and interviews if he continuously stumbles through rehearsed and scripted events.

Mr Kenny said President Donald Trump is fighting back against poor early poll numbers, while Mr Biden is “flailing”.

“The President wants to talk about law and order, that’s his key attack point, while Biden wants to attack Trump over his handling of the pandemic,” he said.

At a campaign event in Pittsburgh, Mr Biden said Mr Trump keeps on telling voters if he were president he would keep them safe.

“Well he is president, whether he knows it or not, and it is happening, it’s getting worse, and you know why; because Donald Trump adds fuel to every fire,” Mr Biden said.

“If I were president, my language would be less divisive, I’d be looking to lower the temperature in this country, not raise it”.

Mr Kenny said the comments seem to “skate over the fact” he was vice president for eight years.
