Johnny Cash As A Machine Gun Tooting Gangster, Five Minutes to Live

Johnny Cash AKA the man in black stars in the dark noir film "Five Minutes to Live" which was also named "Door To Door Maniac". In one of his only two movie roles, Johnny Cash portrays Johnny Cabot, a bloodthirsty New Jersey gangster who is forced to hide out in a small California suburb after killing a cop while attempting a dual robbery/kidnapping with his partner played by Vic Tayback. Johnny’s friend, country musician Merle Travis, makes a brief appearance, as does Ron Howard, who’d started filming The Andy Griffith Show the year before.
