Toffee Blondies

This INCREDIBLE recipe for Toffee Blondies comes from my sweet friend (and college roommate) Rachel! These blondies are jam packed with butterscotch chips, slivered almonds, and chocolate covered toffee bits--SO decadent. These would make a yummy fall dessert to try with your family. Enjoy!

Toffee Blondies
1 c. slivered almonds
1 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. toffee bits
1 3/4 c. all purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
2/3 c. unsalted butter
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2 eggs

Preheat oven to 350*. In a small bowl mix together the almonds, butterscotch chips, and toffee bits. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder and salt. In a large bowl, use an electric hand mixer to combine the butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla and eggs. Mix in the dry ingredients. Use a rubber spatula to stir in 3/4 of the toffee bits mixture. Grease a 13x9in. glass baking dish. Spread the batter evenly in the pan. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and sprinkle the remaining toppings over the surface. Bake for about 10-15 more minutes.
Cool slightly before cutting. Best served with vanilla ice cream!
