Breakfast Ideas for Picky Eaters | What's for Breakfast?
It’s Picky Eaters Week! All week I’ll be teaming up with friends to share easy, kid approved food ideas for your family. Today I’m talking about Breakfast foods my kids will eat! My sweet friend Cheyenne from the channel American Tadka Kitchen is also sharing some kid friendly, make ahead breakfast ideas to feed your little ones. I've linked to her channel and video below! Simple Waffles from Scratch
(adapted from foodnetwork.com)
1 ½ c. flour
1
½ tsp. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
pinch of salt
1 ½ c. milk
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
3 Tbsp. unsalted butter, melted and cooled slightly
Suggested toppings: salted butter, maple syrup, fresh berries, whipped cream
Preheat waffle iron. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Add the milk, eggs, vanilla, and melted butter. Whisk to combine. Lightly grease waffle iron with melted butter or baking spray. Ladle batter into the waffle iron and close to cook. Waffle should be golden brown when finished. Remove to plate and continue cooking the remaining batter. This should make about 4 waffles on a circular waffle iron. Serve with butter, syrup, berries, and/or whipped cream. ENJOY!
