PODERE BELVEDERE | Episode 1 | SHOOTING TUSCANY (SUB ENG/ITA) | Leo's Photo Guides

After giving it quite some thought, I finally decided to start a whole new series - "Shooting Tuscany" - a photography guide with the aim to help you capture some of my home-region's best spots and possibly share some of the knowledge I've acquired after years of working in this area as a professional photographer.
The whole series will revolve mostly around the Val d'Orcia (Orcia Valley), an area filled with incredibly photogenic subjects and some of the most iconic photography locations that I'm sure you've already seen somewhere online or on travel guides.

The first location that I want to explore with you in this photography vlog is called "Podere Belvedere", a country house that can be found between San Quirico d'Orcia and Pienza, and arguably a "symbol" of Tuscany, a scene that can be recognized pretty much from everyone in the world as the classic Tuscan landscape; that's why is the first one I want to cover, because if I only had one day to visit the area, this would be the first location I'd want to capture.
The ideal conditions here would be with the low fog all around the hills and the house popping out as if it's emerging from a sea of clouds; as the sun comes up, you'll get to enjoy (and shoot!) endless layers and plenty of different subjects too, not just the Podere itself.
It's a really famous photography spot, so don't be surprised if you will find other photographers around you in the morning - that's a pretty common sight! Remember also to stay out of other people's private properties and don't walk into cultivated fields as you might ruin the crop.
