BRAIES LAKE (Pragser Wildsee) | Episode 5 | SHOOTING the DOLOMITES (SUB ENG/ITA) | Leo Photo Guides

Well, I had to do it. I just couldn't skip a video guide about THE most popular spot of the Dolomites: the Braies lake (or Pragser Wildsee, in german).
Turquoise waters, raw boats floating around the lake and beautiful larch forests all around it are just a part of what makes this place so beautiful and so popular amongst photographers, influencers and tourists from all over the world.
Rest assured that you'll hardly ever be alone around here - as the crowds are overwhelming most of the times, even during the weirdest hours such as sunrise or sunset.

I'll be plain honest with you all: I'm not a big fan of Braies. The place has been shot to death from every angle, and crowds more often than not take away any kind of nature connection that you might want to build while visiting the location. In autumn things are a bit better, with way less people around the place already becomes much more enjoyable - but summer is a tough time to visit in my opinion.

We are not here to discuss my personal feelings about Braies though: we are here to talk photography! And well, photography wise, no need to say that this lake is one of those picture-perfect postcard locations where everything feels like it's been placed there with the specific purpose of been captured by photographers!
