It's hard to find a caption. It's hard to describe the emotions I felt. And I'm not just talking about the volcano, but about the whole adventure. Later on, I will share a vlog where I'll tell you everything I can about the trip, but for now all I want to do is show you the incredible beauty of this place. This is my first production from the Fagradalsfjall (Geldingadalir) volcano eruption!

For those of you who don't follow me on other social medias, you should know that around 2 weeks ago I left from Italy, quite out of the blue (I decided around 3 days before), and went in Iceland to shoot the Fagradalsfjall eruption. Has it been worth it? Has it been worth two quarantines, five covid tests and all the money? Well, my answer is.. YES.

I have never seen something so powerful in my life. You really feel powerless, almost miserable, when you stand in front of a lava fountain.
If you stop for one second and think about the whole process of the magma arriving to the Earth's surface, the temperature at which arrives up here (1500/2000°C degrees at the crater, then it stabilizes around 800° degrees till it cool down), I think it will blow your mind. It blew mine, at least.

Having the privilege to be there, it's something that I won't forget for sure and something that I will always be grateful for. I stood there even when the wind was SO FREAKING COLD (yes, you can be cold even close to a volcano apparently!) that I couldn't move my fingers anymore and my I was shaking like an autumn leaf, because I just had to soak in as much of that scene as I possibly could.

As I wrote earlier, later on I will share a longer vlog where I'll tell you everything about this adventure, but I wanted to start by sharing the sheer and uncompromised beauty of this place with this small film. È difficile scrivere una didascalia. È difficile descrivere le emozioni che ho provato. E non parlo solo del vulcano, ma dell'intera avventura. Più avanti condividerò un vlog in cui vi racconterò tutto quello che posso sul viaggio, ma per ora tutto quello che voglio fare è mostrarvi l'incredibile bellezza di questo posto. Questa è la mia prima produzione dall'eruzione del vulcano Fagradalsfjall (Geldingadalur)!

Per quelli di voi che non mi seguono su altri social, sappiate che circa 2 settimane fa sono partito dall'Italia, piuttosto all'improvviso (ho deciso circa 3 giorni prima), e sono andato in Islanda per girare il Fagradalsfjall eruzione. Ne è valsa la pena? È valsa la pena farsi due quarantene, cinque test covid e tutti quei soldi spesi? Bene, la mia risposta è .. SÌ.

Non ho mai visto qualcosa trasudare così tanta potenza in vita mia. Ti senti impotente, quasi miserabile, quando ti trovi di fronte a una fontana di lava.
Se ti fermi un secondo e pensi a come il magma affiora sulla superficie terrestre, la temperatura alla quale arriva quassù (1500/2000 ° C gradi dentro il cratere, poi si stabilizza intorno agli 800 ° gradi fino a raffreddarsi ), non puoi non restare meravigliato. A me poco ci mancava che esplodesse il cervello!

Avere il privilegio di essere lì è qualcosa che non dimenticherò di sicuro e qualcosa di cui sarò sempre grato. Sono rimasto lì anche quando il vento era così, incredibilmente, FREDDO (si, si può patire freddo anche a due passi da un vulcano!!) che non riuscivo più a muovere le dita e tremavo come una foglia, perché dovevo semplicemente godermi quella scena il più possibile.

Come ho scritto prima, più avanti condividerò un vlog più lungo in cui vi racconterò tutto di questa avventura, ma volevo iniziare condividendo la bellezza pura e senza compromessi di questo luogo con questo piccolo cortometraggio.
