TRE CIME DI LAVAREDO | Episode 6 | SHOOTING the DOLOMITES (SUB ENG/ITA) | Leo's Photography Guides
It's unbelievable how I managed to record 5 episodes before finally getting into one of the most incredible and photogenic locations of the Dolomites - the Tre Cime di Lavaredo obviously!
Logistics wise, this location is a bit trickier than some of the previous ones we've seen together - mostly due to the fact that there are SO MANY perspectives you can captures in this area!
Lakes, streams, caves and much more - this is what you should expect when visiting the Tre Cime di Lavaredo.
No matter what perspective you will pick - just know that some hiking is needed to reach all of them; the closest points will be 30/40 minutes from the parking lot, with the furthest (which is also the most iconic one) being a bit less than 2 hours away from it. Down here I will leave you all the GPS coordinates for the perspectives I went through in the video - to make everything easier for you.
Visiting the Tre Cime - unless you decide to add an extra couple hours by feet - is expensive too, as the last couple years they decided to charge 30€/day and it renews at midnight, so if you spend the night up there you'll have to pay 60 bucks just to park your car. You better double check the weather forecasts before paying the toll!
Despite this (and the usual big crowds in high season) - it's one of the most incredible locations you'll visit in the Dolomites and it's definitely worth every penny.
As promised, here are the GPS coordinates to every location I mentioned in the video:
- 2.1 (Lakes and Streams): 46.62580537038345, 12.2898821840031
- 2.2 (The Iconic One): 46.63700727030672, 12.310469053313815
- 2.3 (The Silhouette One): 46.62381885534159, 12.31543793200169
- 2.4 (The Cadini One): 46.602594571456194, 12.296022658421679
I hope you'll find this helpful!
