With Elons Tweet on Wednesday we finally have a date set for the Cybertruck event, where all of our questions will be answered and we get to see the final design of the vehicle. The event will take place on November 21st, most likely in the evening, like most past Tesla events. I've already made a couple videos about the Tesla truck, with everything we already know, and what I think they will talk about at the event. But with a couple weeks until the event, here are my final predictions about the Tesla truck.
After the Model Y event when Elon tweeted the teaser image of the truck, he referred to it as the Tesla Cyberpunk truck, and since then it’s unofficial name has just been the cybertruck. I’m pretty sure they will keep this as the official name - it captures how unique of a vehicle it will be and they’ll stick with it for the production vehicle.
Price:
Base model: $49,000
Performance Model: $65,000
Range:
Base: 300 miles
Performance: 500 miles
With the improved range on all Tesla vehicles I have no doubt a heavy duty vehicle will be able to hit 500 miles on a charge, especially by the time this vehicle goes in to production.
Towing:
20,000 - 30,000 lbs depending on trim, will beat the Ford F-150 pickup truck rated at 13,200.
It’s been mentioned on multiple occasions that this truck will beat the F-150, and with the added weight and torque being an electric vehicle, this thing will be a towing machine
Acceleration:
0-60 in around 4 sec for Base
0-60 in around 3 sec for Performance
Bonus:
Tesla trailer that hooks into truck. Adds battery capacity for longer trips and additional sensors for autonomous driving with a trailer. This is a shot in the dark but given how much people use their trucks for towing, I could see this as something Tesla offers. Battery will be a huge concern with the Truck, so adding an additional battery pack could give some people peace of mind.
