Apple Galette with Salted Caramel | Recipe

Caramel Apple Cinnamon Galette Recipe

1 cup Flour (125g)
1 tbsp Sugar (15g)
Pinch of Salt (2g)
½ cup Cold Butter, cubed (115g)
2 tbsp Cold Water (30g)

3 Apples
3 tbsp Sugar (45g)
1 tsp Cinnamon Powder (5g)
3 tbsp Butter, small cubed (45g)
Cream

Icing Sugar
Salted Caramel

Methods :
1. Combine flour, sugar, salt and butter in a bowl. Mix to combine
2. Using fingertips, rub butter into flour until it resembles breadcrumbs
3. Add in water and mix just to combine
4. Transfer into cling wrap and chill for 30-60 mins
5. Roll the dough out into a rectangle and fold to create layers
6. Roll one more time, but into a circle
7. Transfer dough onto a baking tray and keep in the freezer for 15 mins
8. Peel, core and cut apples into thin slices
9. To make the cinnamon sugar, mix sugar and cinnamon powder together in a small bowl
10. Arrange sliced apples into the center of the dough, leaving a border of 2 inches around the edges
11. Fold the edges over the apples
12. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar mix over the apples, and top with cubed butter
13. Brush cream on the exposed dough sides
14. Bake at 200C for 45-50 minutes
15. Cool slightly before top with icing sugar and caramel sauce
