DIY Loft Conversion - Nine Months in Nine Minutes Time Lapse

I HAVE FINALLY COMPLETED A ROOM!! WOOP WOOP. After nine months of mostly solo effort the DIY Loft Conversion finally has its first room. Watch as I build the Loft Conversion Bedroom from first rip out to a room with painted, freshly plastered walls and functioning electrics.

The loft conversion started pre covid and spanned the lockdown and subsequent relief. Through it all I build my DIY loft conversion. After months of filth, grime and goddam hard work the loft area is finally getting ready for finishing. There will be three rooms. A bathroom, a dressing room but first lets get the bedroom habitable.

I start my DIY loft conversion by first ripping out old rooms, old structures and clearing the area. Then comes floor construction - the real real heavy stuff! Floor joists installation, floorboard, floor insulation, structural stud walls, new rafters, roof insulation, velux window and plastering. First electrical fix, second electrical fix. Then paint.

The nine months included a 3 month pause while I built my garden kitchen and also the DIY loft conversion you see here is only 30% of the build.
