HOUCHIN HEARTBEATS: Houchin Blood Bank's First Student Spokesperson Hallie Keese

January is National Blood Donor Month and a local high school student is doing her part to spread awareness for the need of blood.

Hallie Keese has made the mission of rolling up sleeves across Kern County personal.

She was 11 years old when a blood transfusion saved her own life.

Now, she is using her story to encourage others to donate blood and help save a life.

Hallie has been named the first spokesperson for the Houchin Heartbeat High School Program.

She is now challenging eligible high schoolers across the county to pay it forward.
