Golf Course House Final Reveal - Part 13

In this video, Golf Course House Final Reveal - Part 13, home renovation brothers Dave and Rich show you before and after shots plus a complete final home tour of a house they renovated that was on the 13th hole of a private golf course.

This house had been on the market for a long time. It had some layout issues that no one wanted to fix.

We came up with 3 solutions that made this house completely functional when we were done with the renovation:

1) A nook off of the great room had an exterior door. The problem with that is if a table and chairs were there, you wouldn't be able to use the door.
We removed the door and added a bay window. Now it can be used as a comfortable reading nook.

2) Off of the laundry room was a strange room that led to nowhere. We took the garage entry door out of the laundry room and moved it to the other room and converted that room to a mudroom. Now the layout totally makes sense. You enter the house from the garage into a large mudroom. That leads to the laundry room, which leads to the main floor.

3) The master bathroom was long and narrow. It was very difficult to give them both nice soaker tub and deluxe walk in shower. The solution was to install a glass wall that enclosed both the tub and shower. Now it looks like a spa, and there is plenty of room for both features.

In addition to those improvements, we tore up all the old tile and added hardwood throughout the first floor. We put new carpet throughout the upstairs. We also painted the entire interior a nice gray color with bright white trim.

We also installed a new furnace and air conditioner.

When we were finished it seemed like a brand new house!
