How to build a Duct Transition for Mr Cool Universal - Change duct direction building a duct plenum

We had an issue where the air handler from our Mr Cool Universal heat pump did not align in the same plane as the main duct trunk. the solution was to build a plenum that would transition 90 degrees from one plane to the other. to accomplish this, Caleb constructed a trapizoidal plenum on top of the mrcool universal air handler. this way the air was able to change directions without being compromised. basically it was a custom duct build.
The process was to build 2 different sets of identical trapezoids. it took about 1 hour to build and was an ingenious solution to an otherwise vexing problem.

The tools needed were a 24 inch sheet metal brake, pliers, and an impact drill & nut driver set. you can find the like on Amazon:
