How to Hide Systems in Your House - 2 Hidden Panels
In this video, How to Hide Systems in Your House - 2 Hidden Panels, home renovation brothers Dave and Rich and Dave's son, Caleb show you two different ways that you can hide your utility systems with concealed panels.
The first way is to make a wedge fit panel. In this video we use one of these types of panels to conceal a gas manifold. This panel is constructed out of cut 2x4's that fit snugly into the housing.
The second panel is actually a door that blends in with the wall. Our door was so large that we needed 4 hinges to operate it. This door hides our Manabloc, which is a PEX plumbing manifold. We needed to be able to access both of these areas, but we also wanted them to be out of sight.
The hinged door works great and the trim on the panel blends in perfectly with the wall.
Hope this helps give you some ideas of how you can hide your utility panels!
