How to clean the AC outdoor condenser unit is a simple process. All we needed to clean it was to follow is some easy steps. Knowing how to clean the ac unit is fairly easy to learn. The outside Air Conditioner condenser unit is powered by electricity so disconnecting it and staying safe was not to be skipped. We turned it off at the disconnect box as well as at the electric breaker panel.
The next step in our DIY ac service is to expose the cooling fins or tines of the AC condenser unit being careful not to harm and existing electrical connections by straining the wires.
Once the outside ac unit fins are exposed, we used a soft bristle brush to removes the majority of the dust and debris from the ac outdoor unit being careful not to bend the ac condenser cooling fins. After removing most of the dust and dirt from the ac condenser, we brushed on and poured on to the air conditioner fins some hot soapy water and let that sit and soak in for a while. Then all that was needed was a careful rinsing off of the soapy water with a hose.
