Straight cuts with circular saw

Cutting straight lines with a circular saw can be challenging. The longer the cut, the greater the chance for error. In this video we show how we have found a tool to provide stability while making straight cuts with a circular saw.
By the very design of the circular saw blade, there remains room for movement as the circular saw cuts through a piece of wood. In order to stabilize the circular saw, we use a tool or a jig. To make straight cuts with circular saws, KREG has made a rip cut guide or jig to lock the circular saw in place. The KREG guide holds the circular saw while also providing a guide to help the saw track in a straight line. The result is that making long straight cuts is now possible without lots of measuring or clamp guide boards to the piece of wood being cut.
