Economic Outlook: Andrew Hilton's (Brief) Take On Global Developments
Weekly Economic Outlook: Andrew Hilton's (brief) take on global developments
Why you should watch: It's mostly COP - though BoJo and other leaders are furiously downplaying expectations. Don't expect much from Glasgow, but some sort of agreement on methane is possible, and hydrogen and nuclear may get a boost. As far as the global economy is concerned, it is still hard to reconcile the continuing rise in inflation with the reluctance of central banks to ease their way out of QE. Maybe this week's MPC meeting will show the way.
In his Weekly Economic Outlook, Andrew Hilton, the CSFI’s Director, discusses the current crisis, its impact on the global economy, and what we may be missing.
Andrew is a former World Bank economist, who also ran a small economic consultancy advising international clients, particularly in the Middle East. He has an MA from New College, Oxford, an MBA from Wharton, and an MA and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania, where he was a Thouron Scholar and Kent Fellow.
