The end of the ‘Help to Buy’ scheme is the lesser concern, with rising construction costs, the disheartening prospects for real incomes and the energy crisis exacerbated by the war in Ukraine war taking centre stage. However, ESG growing role particularly in new built and commercial real estate, the resilience of urban centres and reinvention of retail space are also key in shaping the future of the market.

Jennet Siebrits is Head of Research at CBRE UK. She joined the company 16 years ago to set up the residential research team. Her focus is on the big issues in the real estate world, identifying trends, analysing the market, and providing clients with unrivalled insight and ideas.

Paul Cheshire is Emeritus Professor of Economic Geography at the London School of Economics and Political Science. He has a strong interest in policy analysis and policy related fields, particularly in urban land markets, housing, and urban growth, and has been named one of the Planning industry's most influential people.

Jon Neale is Head of UK Research at Jll. Jon is responsible for guiding and shaping UK-specific research outputs for the company – ranging from publications and consultancy work to public speaking and social media. Recent successes include the JLL-Glenigan commercial construction index and the annual alternative property survey.
