This torrid is used for 50/60 HZ transformers and works well up to 50KHZ.

it was impossible to get a voltage increase on the output by installing magnets onto the torrid transformer surface by driving with pure AC sinewave input into the torrid transformer. we used pulsed DC (1/2 wave 60 hz dc) to get this experiment to work.
Our power supply is using a single diode on AC output from a Variac that is adjusted to approx. 3 vdc.
This experiment should be able to be stepped up with a higher frequency, voltage and adjustable pulse width. These experiments are coming soon.
The strong neodymium magnet is 2 inches by .30" thick. the ceramic magnet is 2 inches by .5" thick. it came from a magnetron from a microwave oven.

Keep an eye on the light bulb that is sitting on the wire going into the volt meter for the power increase / decrease of output power from torrid transformer. what you are witnessing is NOT NORMAL. when output power increases, the input power should be loaded down and voltage SHOULD drop and amps should INCREASE! In this case the output volts and amps INCREASED as witnessed by brighter light and increased volts and the input volts INCREASED and amps DECREASED!
