The Algoma Transport was built in 1979 in the Port Weller Dry Docks of Port Weller Ontario. It measures 730 feet in length, 75 feet in width, 46 feet in depth and has a maximum carrying capacity of 32,678 tons. It has 8 cylinders and runs on 2 MAN - 8L40/45 Diesel engines that each produce 5,000 hp. The ship was named Canadian Transport until 2011.
